Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan has expected the Kingdom to swiftly move from the planning to the implementation phase in meeting the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030.
On the sidelines of a news conference held Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, he stated that the government has provided all necessary resources to state agencies, which means ministers no longer have any excuses in attaining the vision’s goals.
Jadaan said the expansionary budget for 2019 has three pillars, mainly serving citizens, supporting economic growth and continuing to provide more fiscal data to citizens and analysts.
The minister said the state’s treasury has collected SAR50 billion (USD13.33 billion) from the public prosecution out of SAR100 billion (USD26.67 billion) through anti-corruption settlements.
He asserted that the Saudi government is determined to tackle all disputes between the private sector and the government.
On the Fiscal Balance Program, Jadaan said it is achieving highly positive outcomes.
“Economic reforms are taking place according to schedule and there is no intention to accelerate them in an attempt to avoid any fallout on economic growth."
The Kingdom is open for foreign investments, he noted, affirming that 700 firms were licensed this year, double the amount of 2017.
The huge opportunities presented by Saudi Vision 2030 and the nature of the Saudi economy speak for themselves, the minister said.
Responding to a question on the situation in Yemen, he renewed the kingdom’s commitment to defend its land and citizens.
