'Finally we give a team an absolute mullering' Leeds United fans react to Middlesbrough thrashing

Leeds United enjoyed their biggest win of the season on Saturday afternoon as they put a hapless Middlesbrough side to the sword and registered a 4-0 win at Elland Road.

The hosts got off to a dream start when Patrick Bamford got on the end of a Pablo Hernandez cross to net against his former side to put Leeds ahead after just three minutes.

Leeds continued to create a series of chances before Boro began to settle somewhat before Mateusz Klich's deflected strike in stoppage time gave the hosts a deserved 2-0 half-time lead, with the only blot on their copybook being a fifth yellow card of the season for Kalvin Phillips which means he will miss next weekend's trip to Huddersfield.

Bielsa's side continued to dominate after the break, with Helder Costa netting his first goal for the club when he slammed the ball home from the edge of the box on 67 minutes, before Klich was able to complete the rout seven minutes later when he took advantage of space left by the Boro defence to pick his spot and curl home from outside the area.

The win sees Leeds move back to the top of the table, ahead of West Brom's Monday night clash against Preston.
