Tottenham star Son Heung-min picked up the Puskas Award on Thursday evening for his fine solo strike against Burnley last season.
The Spurs attacker picked up the ball on the edge of the Clarets' penalty area before bombing forward with the ball and eventually slotting it into the back of the net in the 5-0 win more than 12 months ago.
Son has been in sensational form over the last year, but especially this season, with the South Korea international scoring 14 goals in 22 games in all competitions.
The 28-year-old is a huge fan favourite amongst Spurs supporters and his latest award, which is one of the most prestigious prizes to win in world football, has delighted some people.
Back in December 2019, when Son had just scored that wonderful solo goal, the Spurs star admitted it was the best goal of his career.
"I think it is the best goal in my life," he admitted. "I don't know what happened until the end! When I got the ball l tried to pass to Dele Alli and waited for his movement. But I couldn't find him so I just went and went. I'm happy to score this goal."
After winning the Puskas Award, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho had a quick 12-second message for one of his star attackers, taking to his Instagram page to deliver it.
Mourinho said: "Going home and watching FIFA TV. Sonny, Puskas Award, the best goal of the season. Of course, Sonny."
In winning the award, Son beat a number of nominees including Jordan Flores' stunning volley for Dundalk against Shamrock Rovers in the Irish league, Barcelona's brilliant team goal vs Mallorca that was finished off by Luis Suarez, and Giorgian de Arrascaeta's overhead kick for Flamengo against Ceara in Brazil, as well as a few others.
