Finalists for the 2019 Women in Business Awards revealed

The shortlist of finalists for the prestigious 2019 Women in Business Awards can be revealed.

Celebrating 10 years, the awards honour the best business women in the Swansea Bay city region, and have grown more popular year on year, and have now moved to a larger venue - Swansea's Brangwyn Hall.

Hosted by journalist and one of the UK's premier broadcasters, Frances Donovan, the event will  have an international guest speaker - American businesswoman, model, actress and TV personality  Caprice Bourret. We'll also be hearing from local businesswoman Jessica Rice from JR Events & Catering.

The judging panel included Media Wales Commercial Managing Director Lisa Cameron, Alison Vickers from Bevan Buckland, as well as overall winners from the last decade - 2011 winner Connie Parry, 2013 winner Hayley Davies, 2014 winner Heather Cooper, 2016 winner Alison Orrells, 2017 winner Debbie Green, and last year's winner Karen Hewitt.

Commercial Managing Director for Media Wales, Lisa Cameron, said: "As we're celebrating a decade of Women in Business, we decided to do something special and invite all of the previous overall winners from the last 10 years to make up this year's judging panel. Having so many inspirational women in a room together resulted in a very healthy debate in deciding our shortlists for this year.

“We had to make some very tough decisions, but one thing was clear: the calibre of the nominees this year was excellent. That gave us all great confidence that the region we live in has a bright future ahead. With that in mind, I look forward to meeting this year’s winners and celebrating with them at the awards."
