Two Canberra school principals and a deputy principal are among a range of worthy finalists in the running for the 2020 ACT Telstra Business Women's Awards. Also among the talented women recognised is a power lifter, architect, dog business owner, a human rights commissioner and security expert.

Winners of the 2020 Telstra ACT Business Women's Awards will be announced on Tuesday, March 10 at Gandel Hall at the National Gallery. The territory winners then go on to the national awards, to be announced in Sydney on May 28.
It is the 25th anniversary of the awards in the ACT.

Merici College principal Lorreta Wholley, Melrose High deputy principal Shannon Carnovale and Canberra Christian School principal Bree Hills are all finalists in the Public Sector and Academia Award. So too is Human Rights commissioner Jodie Griffiths-Cook and the CSIRO's Zoe Piper.

ACT finalists in the Emerging Leader Award are Amanda Morton from Broadspectrum Property, Casey Taueki from Magic for Mums, Jirana Boontanjai from Pint of Science Australia, Samantha Truscott from Allegro Education and Schae Zarew from The Strength Syndicate.
Canberra contenders in the For Purpose and Social Enterprise Award are Bianca Russell from St John Ambulance, Heidi Prowse from Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT), Liesel Wett from Australian Pathology/Goodwin Aged Care ACT, Samantha Nolan-Smith founder of The School of Visibility and Suzanne Tunks, chief executive officer Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation.

The Small Business Award finalists in the ACT are Pups4Fun owner Rhiannon Beach, Suzanne Moulis from Moulis Legal, architect Cassandra Keller from Clarke Keller, Gillian Horton - Colleen's Lingerie & Swimwear and Parbery Consulting director Kylie Burnett.

The Medium and Large Business Award finalists are Fiona Wright from Evoenergy, Hannah Gill from Independent Property Management, Capitol Chilled Foods Australia director Michele Robinson, Rachel Dobing from CareSuper and Manteena Security's Peita de Boer.
