After doing a flyover salute to the very first Qantas Boeing 747-400 on Wednesday afternoon the last one in the fleet did one final farewell gesture off the Australian coastline before leaving our skies.
Heading north-east from Shellharbour Airport VH-OEJ did a flying kangaroo formation in the sky off the coast of Newcastle as a parting symbol to almost 50 years of service.

It then continued its journey across the Pacific Ocean bound for Los Angeles and then retirement in the United States.
