Final prediction for the Redskins in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft

With the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL draft the Washington Redskins will select…

Drew Lock, QB, Missouri.

The Redskins aren’t doing themselves any favors by ignoring the biggest problem on the roster, which Case Keenum’s arrival doesn’t fix. Speculation the Redskins could jump into the top 10 for a quarterback has run rampant for a reason.

Looking at the broader picture, the Redskins aren’t going to have a shot at Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones out of Duke has been on a steady rise. Dwayne Haskins out of Ohio State might be, too.

Which works: Lock has more starting experience than two of the other three first-round passers and looked better than Jones from a production standpoint.

This prediction assumes the Redskins don’t trade up, which would be an incredibly costly move. With Lock, they would instead get a potential franchise passer and retain critical mid-round picks in a class rich with talent.

Don’t forget to vote in our poll for who you want to see the Redskins pick.
