Final photo captured of girl, six, who vanished after getting off school bus

This is the final photo taken of a six-year-old girl before she vanished after a school bus drop off.

Faye Marie Swetlik went missing on Monday afternoon in South Carolina, US.

The schoolgirl got off the bus at around 3.45 pm and is believed to have played in her front garden for a short while before she disappeared.

Her family reported her missing at 5pm and the FBI has joined more than 250 officers in the hunt, with door to door enquiries ongoing.

Speaking to ABC news, the family said: "Faye is a bubbly and happy little girl, she always wants to play and have fun.

"She's not the type of kid that will up and walk away. Her mom was very attentive in watching Faye. Faye pays attention to her surroundings.

They added: "We just want to find Faye and bring her home."

Law enforcement officers yesterday released a photo of Faye before she got off the school bus on Monday, the Sun reports.

Her mum was at home when she vanished.

Faye is described as having strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police say she was wearing a black shirt with polka-dot boots.

Investigators say they are yet to find leads connecting to Faye's disappearance, and currently have more questions than answers.

But the South Carolina Department of Public Safety said there are no signs of abduction at this time.

Anyone with security footage from the area or any information has been urged to contact the Cayce Department of Public Safety at 803-794-0456.
