Final injury report for Chiefs vs. Broncos, Week 7

The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos released their final injury reports of the week on Wednesday. Things are looking increasingly difficult for the Chiefs.

Check out the injury report with game designations for the Chiefs down below:

Player Injury Designation*
Anthony Sherman Shoulder
Patrick Mahomes Ankle
Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Ankle
Tyreek Hill Shoulder
Dorian O’Daniel Hamstring
Sammy Watkins Hamstirng Out
Derrick Nnadi Elbow
Cam Erving Groin
Anthony Hitchens Groin
Andrew Wylie Ankle Out
Chris Jones Groin Out
Eric Fisher Groin Out
Kendall Fuller Thumb Out
Bashaud Breeland NIR Questionable

* Out = Won’t play | Doubtful = Unlikely to play | Questionable = Possible to play

The Chiefs ruled out five starters on Wednesday including Sammy Watkins. He’d been limited in walkthroughs all week but clearly didn’t show enough to give the team confidence he’d be able to play. This will be his second consecutive game missed with injury.

Chris Jones, Eric Fisher, Kendall Fuller and Andrew Wylie remain out as none of them practiced this week.

A surprise starter is questionable in Bashaud Breeland. His designation is not related to an injury. He’s dealing with some personal situation, so send good vibes and your best wishes to Breeland.

If Breeland can’t go the Chiefs have Charvarius Ward, Mo Claiborne and Rashad Fenton at CB. That’d mean that Tyrann Mathieu will probably get repetitions at CB. Not exactly an ideal situation for the secondary.

The good news is that the Chiefs should get back Anthony Hitchens and Dorian O’Daniel this week. Hopefully, they’ll give O’Daniel a shot in the linebacker rotation as others have struggled.

Check out the injury report with game designations for the Broncos down below:

Player Injury Designation*
Bryce Callahan Foot Out
Duke Dawson Foot
Shelby Harris Ribs
Ja’Wuan James Knee Questionable
Ron Leary Shoulder
Mike Purcell Knee
Emmanuel Sanders Knee
Derek Wolfe Hip
Will Parks Wrist

* Out = Won’t play | Doubtful = Unlikely to play | Questionable = Possible to play

The Broncos only have one player ruled out in Bryce Callahan. He’s been dealing with a foot injury all season long. Ja’Wuan James is a player that has also been dealing with injury for the Broncos. They were optimistic he’d be back this week and his questionable designation suggests a return is possible.

Emmanuel Sanders has no injury designation after hurting his knee in Week 6. Needless to say, the Broncos are significantly healthier than the Chiefs heading into this game.
