Analysis of the ward

Filton and Bradley Stoke in South Gloucestershire is home to some of the biggest employers in the area including Rolls Royce, Airbus, Cribbs Causeway, the Ministry of Defence and the University of the West of England.

The seat is currently held by Brexiteer Jack Lopresti, but as a constituency it voted to remain in the 2016 referendum.

Unemployment in the area is low and house ownership high.

Housing and transport could be big issues for constituents - there are thousands of new housing developments planned across the constituency and serious concerns that the infrastructure is not in place to support this level of housebuilding.
