Filtertechnik secures major contract win from Meggitt

A Nottingham manufacturer has secured a new contract to work on testing rigs for the aerospace industry in the West Midlands.

Filtertechnik, which makes and supplies filtration systems for oils and process fluids, has been awarded a brief worth £566,000 to design, manufacture and supply specialist test rigs for the aerospace industry.

This new contact from Meggitt is one of the largest single orders Filtertechnik has ever won and is part of the former's £130 million investment into its facility on Ansty Park, Coventry.

Meggitt, which relocated its global headquarters from Bournemouth Airport to Ansty Park last year, specialises in high-performance components and subsystems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets.

Richard Price, managing director of Filtertechnik, said: "We are very excited to be working with Meggitt and our contract with them is one of the biggest we have ever secured.

"Meggitt is making a huge investment and commitment to its operations in the UK and we are delighted to be part of this."

Simon Wileman, senior manager of programme management at Meggitt, added: "The work Filtertechnick will be doing for us is very important and, following a competitive tender process, we felt they had the right skill set and experience to meet our specific needs in this area."
