Filming for ITV drama takes place in Bristol city centre

Filming for a new ITV detective drama has continued in Bristol this week.

Film vans were spotted in Corn Street yesterday (September 10), with filming taking place on the top floor of The Exchange.

An ITV spokeswoman has confirmed the filming was for Invisible, a new series which focuses on the wildly ambitious DCI McDonald and shy and modest DS Dodds.

Each episode takes viewers into a new story world, from a greed-fueled murder in the upper echelons of Bath society to an unexplained death in a private hospital for recovering addicts.

With a classic crime story at its heart, ITV says Invisible combines intriguing plots and the journey of two 'fish-out-of-water' detectives with warmth and humour.

Invisible is commissioned by Polly Hill, ITV’s Head of Drama, and produced by Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios. It was created and written by screenwriter Robert Murphy, who was the lead writer on DCI Banks.

The drama stars Jason Watkins and Tala Gouveia. It is not yet known when it will hit our screens.
