Filming at Glasgow Prestwick Airport involving 'weapons' starts today

Filming is due to get underway at Glasgow Prestwick Airport today, with Bollywood blockbuster Bell Bottom coming to Ayrshire.

The cameras will be rolling in several areas of the airport, including the main terminal building and filming will involve 'replica weapons'.

Glasgow Live have reported on the big budget Bollywood movie filming in our city over recent weeks and it's reported the 80s' thriller revolves around a plane hijacking.

Film crews were spotted at the likes of Glasgow's Necropolis, Kelvinbridge and by the River Clyde in the past few days.

Confirming cameras are coming to Glasgow Prestwick, the airport commented: "From September 4 - 12 there will be filming activity in various locations around the airport, including the terminal building and aprons.

"During this, replica weapons may be used for filming.

"We will be working closely with the police and film crew to ensure the safe practice of these props."
