Film study: Bill Belichick explains how Kyle Dugger stood out in win over Ravens

In the New England Patriots win over the Baltimore Ravens, the defense came to play. In his weekly film session with Scott Zolak on Patriots.com, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had praise for rookie safety Kyle Dugger.

Belichick pointed out how Dugger came up and made a play on Ravens tight end Nick Boyle. He also broke down how Dugger was able to, across the edge, and make a play for the defense. All told, Dugger had 12 tackles against the ravens, a season-high for him.

Belichick was extremely impressed with Dugger’s performance on Sunday, and that was especially evident in his segment with Zolak.

“This is Nick Boyle, the tight end. He’s an excellent blocker. You can see that Kyle comes up, takes him on and makes a strong play there. He comes off and makes the tackle.”

It was a solid game for Dugger, and he appears to be settling in to the New England secondary. It will be interesting to see what he does for a follow-up act against the Houston Texans next week.
