Film star's son goes live on air without trousers on - doesn't realise viewers could see

A reporter made the very relatable working from home decision to take a video call dressed only from the waist up.

However, his call was actually a live interview on Good Morning America, and he had no idea that viewers could see he wasn't wearing any trousers.

Will Reeve, son of Christopher Reeve the late Superman star, filmed a 30-second live segment from his home discussing an initiative that could see drones delivering prescriptions to the elderly.

At the start of his chat with host Amy Robach, Will's dignity was perfectly hidden by the banner at the bottom of the screen and a mid-shot camera angle.

But, when the camera switched to a wide-angle and a smaller graphic, it revealed a portion of his leg, trouser-free.

"What is an innovative, high-tech way to get people their medicine quickly while promoting social distancing?" he says, before exclaiming "Drones!" - unaware of his current wardrobe mishap.

Will later addressed the blunder, promising fans they were workout shorts for a "post GMA workout" he had planned.

On Twitter alongside a screen shot of a note, he wrote: "When WFM goes wrong (or, your self-framed live shot goes too wide).

"Hope everyone got a much needed laugh".

And the note read: "Trying to be efficient I got ready for a post-GMA workout a little too soon this morning.

"The camera angle, along with friends, family and several hundred strangers on the social media made me rethink my morning routine.

"Any sartorial tips from these people who are wearing a belt, trousers and shoes during their work video calls at home are most welcome.

"Now, back to work. Wearing pants."

When the split screen between the hosts and Will returned, it appeared that Amy was among the many viewers who noticed the bare leg as she pulled a knowing face.

Erron Gordon Good Morning Britain series director also noticed the blunder, and shared it on Twitter saying: "Our colleagues at @GMA with a helpful reminder to frame your Skype/FaceTime properly if you’re going commando".

One viewer said: "@GMA why did y'all do Will Reeves like this?! Lol"

Another said: "Will Reeves is many of us right now".

A third commented: "I think most of us is doing this, but using care not to expose our lower half".
