Film night with live singing, dancing and drag coming to Liverpool

An interactive film screening is coming to Liverpool bringing the hit musical Cabaret to life.

The night will involve dazzling performances inspired by the Kit Kat Club, with crisp martinis served at the bar.

The film will be shown in full, interspersed with performances inspired by the seedy underbelly of Berlin nightlife then and now.

The film screening and club night mash up will include performances by hostess Grace Oni Smith as Cabaret star Sally Bowles; singer Beau Blonde, plus Darren Pritchard and his vogue house ‘The House of Ghetto’ as the EmCee and Kit Kat Club girls, mixing vaudeville with vogue ball dance tracks.

Those attended are asked to come dressed to impress in black tie and party dresses, to recreate the Cabaret’s infamous Kit Kat Club right here in Liverpool.

The film, set in 1930s Weimar Germany, is being shown at District, on Jordan Street in the Baltic Triangle this Friday (January 17).

The event is being brought to the city by Make A Scene film club, who have become known for immersive screenings and Live Cinema UK, as part of the BFI Musicals season.

Tickets are £15+ booking fee and available here . For tickets for other cities and more information go to www.makeascenefilmclub.com
