Film and photography agency to open new headquarters in Gloucestershire after securing six-figure sum

A photography, film and production agency in Cheltenham is opening a huge new studio and office space after securing a six-figure sum from HSBC.

Still Moving Media's new 6,000 sq ft industrial studio will open at Furlong Park in November.

The company, which was founded in 2010, said the funding was being used to move operations out of rented premises and create a "modern workspace" with an office, photography and film studios, and a cinema room.

Spencer McPherson, chief creative officer at Still Moving Media, said the new premises would allow the company to grow its 12-strong team, with plans already in the pipeline to hire at least three new members of staff in the next few months.

“We are so proud of what we’ve achieved since starting the company 10 years ago and despite the current challenges posed by Covid, these new, custom studio spaces are testament to my incredible team’s hard work and dedication to our clients," Spencer said.

“We can’t wait to move into our first wholly owned premises where we can begin work on some new and exciting creative challenges.

“We are incredibly grateful to HSBC UK for its support during this time, especially our relationship manager Joel Dunning who made the process seamless for us.”

Still Moving Media has worked with brands including Disney, Universal Studios, Café Nero and Superdry, and also photographed portraits of stars including Sir David Attenborough, Dame Judi Dench, Russel Brand, Graham Norton, Helen Bonham Carter and Hillary Clinton.

David Butler, area director for Bristol, Gloucestershire and Wiltshireat HSBC UK, added: “Still Moving Media is a fantastic example of a business that has continued to thrive and grow during the coronavirus outbreak, helping its clients communicate creatively at a time of such uncertainty.

“We are delighted to support the acquisition of the new headquarters and look forward to seeing what Spencer and his team do next.”
