Mason Mount’s emotion
It was a huge blow for Chelsea to lose Mason Mount so early in their 1-0 defeat to Valencia at Stamford Bridge last night.
The midfielder has had a superb start to the campaign, netting three Premier League goals so far and being a key part of any success the Blues have had.
But now the club are sweating over the injury and how long he might be out for, as you could see it was a bad knock for the England international.
It was supposed to be the 20-year-old's dream Champions League debut, however it ended in misery and you could see the emotion on his face as he walked down the tunnel.
Abraham’s handball
After a great few weeks for Tammy Abraham, it wasn't the best night for the striker as he only had one real chance in front of goal.
The 21-year-old didn't get much in the way of goal mouth action, however there was one moment in particular where the Chelsea striker could feel hard done by.
Right at the start of the second half, Abraham went to close down keeper Jasper Cillessen, however the Valencia man smashed the ball against his hand from about a yard out.
It obviously hurt the Chelsea man, but referee Cuneyt Cakir also gave it as a handball, which seemed a bit harsh as Abraham couldn't do much to get out of the way of it from such close range.
Cheeky four subs warm up
UEFA rules at Stamford Bridge dictate that substitutes have to warm up towards the Matthew Harding Stand, instead of the Shed End like it is in the Premier League.
However, the same rule applies that only three players can go and warm up at the same time, but Chelsea managed to get away with a sneaky one.
Olivier Giroud was called to go and go through his paces, but Michy Batshuayi, Christian Pulisic and Ross Barkley were already down there.
Nobody came back to the dugout, with Giroud getting away with adding to the Chelsea substitutes.
Fikayo Tomori's fury
Fikayo Tomori has certainly had a good week for the Blues, netting a stunner against Wolves and then being solid on his Champions League debut.
Blues fans would have certainly enjoyed his passion as well as he fumed at former Arsenal man Francis Coquelin towards the end of the game.
Coquelin had already crocked Mount in the first half, but late in the match the Valencia midfielder went down himself as though injured.
Tomori was having none of it, however, as he bent down and fumed at Coquelin to get up as he felt the player was trying to waste time.
