Fikayo Tomori will be a man out to impress when he returns to England to face Manchester United in the Europa League with AC Milan on Thursday.
The 23-year-old centre-back has been on loan at the Italian giants from Chelsea since January.
And so far he has enjoyed a successful time, making five Serie A appearances and looking an assured figure at the heart of Milan's defence.
He has even managed to catch the eye of club legend Frano Baresi, who has heaped praise upon "one of the most promising prospects out there."
Tomori particularly shone at the beginning of last season, and looked set to be an important part of the Chelsea and England team for the foreseeable future.
But after struggling with injuries and a seeming loss of confidence he fell out of favour at Stamford Bridge, and is now looking to rediscover the fine form which saw him hit the headlines.
So impressive were Tomori's displays initially that it led to former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair labelling him already a more complete defender than United's Harry Maguire.
In an interview with Football.London back in 2019, Sinclair said of Tomori: "He has a lot of pace, he's good on the ball and he's great in one vs one situations.
"He is a player who has been talked about for a long time and it's no surprise that he's been talked about for England.
"I think he should be in the England squad and playing regularly. I think Tomori is a better player than all of them and that includes Harry Maguire.
"I think if he gets the opportunity, he can be a regular starting England centre-back for many years to come."
While the former Derby man has yet to prove Sinclair right, Tomori will have the perfect opportunity to do so when he comes face-to-face against Maguire on Thursday night.
And he will be desperate to remind English fans, and maybe even Gareth Southgate, just what he is capable of as he continues to progress in his young career.
