Fight erupts in Morrisons as angry shoppers clash in row over bike inside supermarket

Two security guards were 'assaulted and verbally abused' when tempers flared at a supermarket after some youngsters brought a bike inside.

An eyewitness said the trouble started when three youths arrived and moments later DVDs were sent crashing to the floor.

Dramatic footage filmed inside the Morrisons store in Willenhall, West Midlands.

As security attempted to escort the youths out of the building, another member of staff can be seen retrieving the bike and wheeling it towards the exit, Birmingham Live reports.

West Midlands Police has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: "We were called to reports of two security workers being assaulted and verbally abused at Morrisons in Willenhall at around 5.15pm on December 16.

"Neither of the men were injured but enquiries are continuing."

Anyone with information should contact police by calling 101.

A spokesman for Morrisons said: "We are assisting the police with their enquiries."
