Fight breaks out by pub following 'funeral gathering' leaving one in hospital

One person has been taken to hospital tonight following a brawl which is said to have happened during a funeral gathering.

Footage has emerged showing a large group of people in the road outside a pub in Tameside, Greater Manchester.

One person can be seen lying in the street following the incident.

Police say a "disturbance" took place by the Albion Pub on Jeffreys Road in Dukinfield.

The M.E.N understands a funeral gathering at the pub was in full swing when the fight occured.

Pictures from the scene show a number of police cars and ambulances.

A Crime Scene Investigation vehicle could be seen parked up outside the public house.

The pub remained open to the public following the incident.

The person taken to hospital is not thought to be seriously injured.

Police are investigating.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at 17.20pm to a disturbance on Jeffrey's Road in Dukinfield.

"One person was injured and has been taken to hospital. 

"Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
