Fight at bus stop and 'aggressive' adults inside school sparks police call

A bus stop fight and a group of "aggressive" adults inside a high school sparked a call to police.

Officers were called to Fazakerley High School shortly before 2pm after reports of a incident in the school reception and a fight at a bus stop outside.

Police cars were seen outside the school as officers broke up the group of adults in the reception area.

A gang of adults were also involved in a fight at a nearby bus stop around the same time.

It is not yet clear what sparked the altercation at the bus stop or the row inside the school but a number of parents reported that children were not allowed out of their classes as police dealt with the incident.

This has not been confirmed by Fazakerley High School.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: "We can confirm officers are in attendance at Fazakerley High School, this afternoon, Monday, 27 January, following reports of a disturbance.

"A report was received just before 1.55pm that a small group of adults were acting aggressively within the reception area.

"There were also reports of an altercation outside the school at a nearby bus stop.

"Officers are currently in attendance at the school and the area outside."

Anyone with information should contact Merseyside Police social media desk @MerPolCC or call 101 quoting incident reference 0531 of 27/1/20.

You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or @CrimestoppersUK or via their website.
