Police have charged a fifth and sixth teenager over a suspicious fire that severely damaged Cessnock McDonald's.
The latest arrests comes about a week after the blaze tore through the fast-food restaurant's playground equipment and charred the front part of the store.
A 15-year-old boy fronted Cessnock Police Station on Sunday afternoon, where he was arrested over his alleged involvement in the incident.
Then, on Monday morning, police arrested a 15-year-old girl at a Cessnock home.
They were each charged with damaging property by fire.
They were granted conditional bail and will face a children's court next month.
Police last week arrested four other teenagers in relation to the fire.
The two boys - aged 14 and 15 - and two girls - aged 16 and 17 - were each charged on Thursday with one count of damaging property by fire and are due to face a children's court in August.
Firefighters from Cessnock, Abermain and Kearsley were called to the eatery on the corner of Allandale Road and Ferguson Street just after 3am on Sunday, July 19, where they found the children's playground equipment well-alight.
The McDonald's has since re-opened, but only in a drive-through capacity for the foreseeable future.
Police said on Monday their inquiries into the suspicious fire were ongoing.
