FIFPro Men's World XI 2019: Barcelona, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Man City dominate 55-man Fifa shortlist

Liverpool's Champions League-winning squad have been rewarded with seven spots on Fifa's FIFPro Men's World XI 2019 shortlist, but are still outnumbered by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Seven members of Jurgen Klopp's side - Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane - have been included on the 55-man list, whch is decided by votes from thousands of professional footballers across the world.

Tottenham's Champions League finalists are represented by Karry Kane, Heung-min Son and Christian Eriksen.

Manchester United and Chelsea have two nominees apiece - David de Gea/Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante/Eden Hazard - though the Belgian is now at Real Madrid.

Each player must select one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards for the list, with Barca (11), Real (nine), Man City (eight) and Liverpool (seven) dominating the list.

The Men's XI will be announced at The Best Fifa Football Awards ceremony in Teatro alla Scala, Milan on September 23.
