Coronavirus in Scotland: Fife primary school forced to shut entirely after outbreak of coronavirus cases

A Fife school has been forced to close after an outbreak of coronavirus cases linked to the primary.

Pupils at Sinclairtown Primary in Kirkcaldy have been told to stay off after several COVID-19 positive tests were recorded, reports Fife Today.

NHS Fife confirmed that a small number of individuals with links to the primary have contracted the virus.

It's understood the positive cases have mild symptoms and are in self-isolation.

Those who have been in close contact will be contacted by the NHS' Test and Protect Team and given advice.

The health board's Public Health Team is set to carry out a risk assessment and investigate potential links between the positive cases.
