14 elderly residents at a care home in Fife have sadly lost their lives to suspected coronavirus.
The Daily Record reports that six residents living in Methven House in Kirkcaldy died after testing positive for the virus, while another eight, who were not officially tested, passed away with the same symptoms.
Six members of staff working at the care home have now tested positive for Covid-19 and are said to be doing well.
Managing Director of Methven House, in Kircaldy, Colin Smart confirmed the heartbreaking news.
Mr Smart said: "We have offered our heartfelt condolences to each one of our families who have lost a loved one.
"We have never been more humbled and proud of our amazing teams who have collectively gone above and beyond to care for their residents in what are truly exceptional circumstances."

The news after comes as Fife MSP, Alex Rowley called on all private care homes to urgently reveal deaths in what he called an "unfolding nightmare"
The Labour MSP has been speaking out about his concerns over private care homes deaths being swept under the carpet.
Mr Rowley said: "I am keen to know the clear lines of responsibility.
"There is a clear need for full transparency on these issues given the nightmare that is unfolding in Fife care homes."
