FIFA president Gianni Infantino attends Irish Cup clash at the Oval

Glentoran welcomed a very special visitor to the Oval on Saturday.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino was among the guests to have been invited to the East Belfast club's Sadler's Peaky Blinder Irish Cup quarter-final tie with Crusaders.

Infantino is in Northern Ireland to attend the International Football Association Board's annual general meeting , which is being held at the Culloden Hotel in Holywood.

IFAB’s 134th AGM was chaired by Irish FA President David Martin, and was also attended by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is FIFA's new chief of global football development.

Legendary Italian former referee Pierluigi Collina is also here.

On their agenda were issues including VAR and Fair Play.

It wasn't all be work for the visiting IFAB members, as they were also invited to Glentoran's Irish Cup showdown with Crusaders - which the Glens won 2-1.

Infantino was even presented with a Glentoran scarf and hat which he wore to keep the East Belfast chill at bay.
