- Fifa has announced a partnership with YouTube, allowing rights-holding broadcasters to stream live World Cup match action on the video platform.
- The “game-changing partnership” aims to engage younger, global audiences by offering the initial 10 minutes of matches as an 'appetizer' and enabling select full matches to be streamed.
- Fifa will also share content from its extensive World Cup archive on YouTube, including full past matches and iconic moments.
- For the forthcoming World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, YouTube creators will be granted “unprecedented access” throughout the tournament.
- This deal means parts of England's matches will be available for fans to watch on YouTube, with their campaign beginning on 17 June.
