The FIFA 23 TOTS (Team of the Season) release date has been leaked as we approach the end of the season, with the promo set to begin earlier than usual.
As we edge towards April, excitement and anticipation are starting to build in the FUT community with the FIFA 23 TOTS event expected to be released soon. TOTS is one of the biggest promos in FUT, with EA awarding the best players from around the world with heavily boosted player items.
In FIFA 22, fans were able to vote for the players they want to see featured in the TOTS event, with the first squad released the Community TOTS, a squad full of the best players from the past season who had not earned a TOTW player item during FIFA 22. And, according to leaks, the TOTS start date has been revealed, and it's set to be much earlier than last year.
FIFA 23 TOTS (Team of the Season) release date leaked
According to sources from Insider Gaming, the FIFA 23 TOTS event will see its first squad released on Tuesday, April 18, 10 days earlier than the first TOTS squad was released in FIFA 22. Not only is the first squad released much earlier, but the report claims it will no longer be the Community TOTS, with the Premier League TOTS moving to the first release.
As well as the Premier League TOTS, the source has also revealed the release date for the Community TOTS, Bundesliga TOTS, La Liga TOTS, and three dates with unknown squads. Here's the list of the TOTS release dates leaked so far.

- Bundesliga TOTS: Tuesday, April 25, 2023
- Community TOTS: Friday, April 28, 2023
- La Liga TOTS: Tuesday, May 2, 2023

Based on these leaks, it looks like a new TOTS squad will be released every Tuesday and Friday. In FIFA 22, 15 squads were released during the event over a seven-week period, so we expect the same this time around.
In FIFA 22, the voting for the first TOTS squad, the Community TOTS, opened 12 days prior to the official release, so based on this, the TOTS voting could begin as early as Friday, April 7. If the first squad is released on Tuesday, April 18, it would be the earliest a TOTS event has begun in FUT history.
FUT Birthday is the current promo in FUT 23, and with a second squad still to be released, the promo is set to end on Friday, April 7, the same day TOTS voting could potentially begin. Remember, none of this is yet to be confirmed by EA Sports, so this may not be true.
