EA Sports will release FIFA 22 officially on October 1 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, there are two other release dates for full versions of the game tied to the different pre-order and version options.
The Cover Athlete
This year’s game will again feature PSG star Kylian Mbappe as the cover athlete. Mbappe returning as the cover athlete is no surprise. Usually, the cover athletes sign for multiple years with EA, and this is now Mbappe’s second year as the face of FIFA.

The biggest initial push from EA in regard to FIFA 22 is the introduction of HyperMotion technology.
Many fans will be pleased to see something that will improve animations and overall gameplay. We don’t know if HyperMotion will improve the product, but initially, it sounds exciting.
FIFA 22 Standard and Ultimate Edition Pre-Order Benefits
Fans who will have an option to buy the Standard or Ultimate Editions of FIFA 22, and both editions have their own pre-order offers.
The Standard Edition pre-order customers will receive the physical or digital copy of the game on October 1, and they will also get the following items as a product of their pre-order.

- Career Mode Homegrown Talent
Customers who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will gain advance access to the full retail version on September 27. In addition to earlier access, UE pre-order customers will also receiver more reward items. Here is the full list:

The third layer of access is exclusive to EA Play subscribers. Those who subscribe to EA’s online membership service will get a 10-hour trial of the retail version of FIFA 22 beginning on September 22, a 10% discount on their pre-order and these additional perks on top of the ones associated with the version of the game they choose to purchase.

The progress attained during the 10-hour trial will carry over to the full version once it is purchased and the applicable release date arrives.
