"Powered by HyperMotion, FIFA 22 combines Advanced 11v11 Match Capture and proprietary machine learning technology to deliver the most realistic, fluid and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia, unlocking the raw emotion, passion and physicality of the world’s game.
"HyperMotion technology enabled the integration of the first-ever motion capture of 22 professional footballers playing at high intensity.
It uses a combination of real-time motion capture and machine learning to successfully emulate the unique play style of different professional football players.
Twenty-two professional football players wore Xsens suits in the FIFA 22 trailer to record an “unprecedented volume of high-quality real-human movement data.”

These Xsens suits apparently "record every touch, tackle, sprint and duel from all 22 players playing at high intensity for the first time ever."
According to EA's website, FIFA 22 uses “a cutting-edge proprietary machine-learning algorithm” that learns from over 8.7 million frames of capture footage, and creates new animations in real-time to create “organic football realism.”
Because of this ground-breaking technology, FIFA 22 will feature 4,000 new animations which will improve the responsiveness of the game.

When attacking in-game, players should be able to make "6x more decisions per second" as attackers are given more special awareness and tactility.
Aerial duels will also see a major improvement in interactivity via HyperMotion which will make controlling the ball feel more natural and fluid.
Powered by Football, EA SPORTS FIFA 22 brings the game even closer to the real thing with a new season of innovation across every mode and groundbreaking next-gen HyperMotion gameplay technology on PlayStation5 that elevates every moment of the match.
