EA Sports has been forced to issue a statement, following reports of a FIFA 22 FUT Champions qualification points reset error.
The start of FIFA 22's FUT Season 2 has been marred by issues today, with some Division Rivals player picks including players from the past Team of the Week being a common issue.
Other issues include players who received a mid-Icon from their Base Icon Upgrade will now receive a free, tradable Base Icon, and the new FUT Season 2 milestone rewards has seen rewards in lower divisions be of more value than some higher - leaving many FUT players annoyed.
However, the issue involving the resetting of FUT Champions qualification points seems to be a major issue with many FUT players, with people now unable to qualify for the upcoming FUT Champions Finals due to their points in FUT Season 1 not carrying over.
EA had previously announced that when FUT Season 2 begins on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, FUT Champions qualifications points and FUT Champions Finals entry tokens would carry over into FUT Season 2, yet with many FIFA players yet to see their points carry over with the FUT Champions Finals rapidly approaching.
And as such, EA has now had to release a statement regarding this issue, updating fans with the latest info.
In a Tweet from the FIFA Direct Communications account, this is what EA had to say regarding the issue:
The issue has become more of an issue to people whose 1,500 FUT Champions Qualification points didn't carry over due to the increase of points now needed to qualify, with the FUT Season 2 refresh seeing the points needed increase from 1,500 to 2,000.
The statement issued confirmed that there would be updates for FIFA fans as they come available, with many FIFA fans hoping this issue is resolved in time for the FUT Champions Finals, the most demanding competition within the FUT game mode.
