With many fans expecting to see a glimpse of how FIFA 21 will look on next-gen consoles during the EA PLAY event on Thursday June 18 at 4pm PT (midnight UK time), EA have given fans some information on when they can expect information about key elements of the new gaming title.
The EA PLAY event is being streamed online at 12am UK time on Friday June 19, with popular gaming titles such as Star Wars: Squadrons, Madden, NBA 2K21, Apex Legends and FIFA 21 all on the agenda, with fans likely to be given a very small taste of what they can expect from these games on the new next-gen consoles.
These consoles, Playstation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X, are promised to be much more powerful and capable than their predecessors, and it is hoped that this will give these upcoming titles better graphics and smoother gameplay, compared to titles on the PS4 and Xbox One.
In regards to FIFA 21, EA PLAY is likely to showcase some of the in-game engine and possibly some gameplay too, ahead of it's expected upcoming release in September 2020.
However ahead of EA PLAY, EA themselves have confirmed a release schedule for FIFA 21, in regards to information about gameplay and popular game modes, so it's unlikely that we'll get any further information other than a short video during the event.
In a tweet on the official EA SPORTS FIFA Twitter account, the company posted a release schedule for when fans can expect information about FIFA 21 in regards to gameplay, Career Mode, Volta Football, Pro Clubs and FIFA 21 Ultimate Team.
The graphic that they posted reveals that this information regarding FIFA 21 and some of the key aspects of the new game will be revealed in August, likely following the same order on the graphic.
So expect to see information for FIFA 21's gameplay, Career Mode, Volta Football, Pro Clubs and FIFA 21 Ultimate Team in that order around August time, a month before the game is officially due for release.
But all eyes will still be on the upcoming EA Play event, with fans likely to be given their first look at FIFA 21 on next-gen consoles.
EA Play is due to take place at 4pm PT time on June 18, 2020. For UK viewers, that means that the EA Play event will be streamed live from around midnight (12am UK time) on Thursday, June 18.
