FIFA 20 won't include Juventus as Aaron Ramsey and Cristiano Ronaldo's club make big decision

Fans hoping to play as Wales star Aaron Ramsey and Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo for Juventus on the latest edition of the FIFA video game series are going to be left disappointed.

That's because EA Sports have confirmed that the Italian giants will not be on FIFA 20.

The Serie A champions have signed an exclusive deal with rivals Konami, meaning that their kits, stadium, badge and even club name will solely be on Pro Evolution Soccer this year.

The announcement has led to fans fearing that stars such as Ramsey and Ronaldo, who has been the cover star for the last two editions of FIFA, will not be on the game.

That isn't the case. Juventus' array of stars will still feature on the game, due out on September 27.

However, they will be part of a team playing under the name Piemonte Calcio - which is derived from the region of Italy where Turin is and the Italian word for football.

As well as a custom name, they will have a custom badge, kits and stadium.

Losing the license to one of Europe's biggest clubs will come as a blow to EA Sports - especially after they nabbed the Champions League rights from their Konami rivals last year.

What makes it even more galling is that PES has traditionally been the game that has had to use custom names and kits for real-life teams, thanks to EA's monopoly on licenses.

However, the boot is on the other foot this time. It remains to see whether Ronaldo will remain the cover star for a third year now that his club side's license is off-limits.

FIFA 20 will introduce some exciting features when it returns later this year, including five-a-side game Volta.
