Fianna Fail Minister of State Robert Troy has apologised for a number of "omissions" to his Oireachtas register of members’ interests across the last decade.
The junior minister confirmed he has now submitted seven amendments to the Register of Members to correct inaccuracies with his property interests
In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, he said he had been under the "mistaken impression" that only property in his possession on 31 December of any year needed to be registered and not properties sold during that year.

Pressure had grown on Mr Troy and his party to clarify the situation after a number of reports from On The Ditch revealed that the Minister of State for Trade Promotion sold a property he owned in Mullingar to Westmeath County Council in 2018
In his statement, Mr Troy said: "I take my role and responsibility as a TD for Longford-Westmeath and Minister of State very seriously and I fully appreciate the seriousness of my mistake.
"I sincerely regret that my omissions and errors could be seen as my deflection or disregard of my responsibilities as public representative.
"I take full responsibility and I apologise unreservedly to my constituents, colleagues in Government, to the Dáil, and to SIPO for these errors and omissions."
Oireachtas ethics regulations require public office holders to declare property interests over €13,000 in value.
