Feyenoord ready to make fresh transfer approach for Man Utd star Amad

Feyenoord are reportedly ready to make another attempt to sign Manchester United star Amad Diallo, after their proposed move in the summer broke down.

Diallo joined United in January for a reported fee of £21.25million (€25m), which could rise to £34m (€40m), and the 19-year-old has already impressed since mixing with the first team.

As part of the Ivorian's progression, United had reached an agreement with Feyenoord to loan the youngster this summer, but an injury stopped the deal from being completed.

However, Feyenoord still want their main, and they are ready to push and strike a deal to sign the youngster after already missing out.

According to Feyenoord transfermarkt, Amad Diallo is linked with the Dutch club again, and they are interested in signing the Ivorian on loan 'for a longer period' in the January transfer window.

Diallo may be relatively inexperienced, but has already represented his country at the age of 19, and a loan move that guarantees first-team football could be perfect for the Ivorian to develop even further.

Diallo arrived from Atalanta in 2021 after impressing in Italy, scoring his first Serie A goal at the age of 17 in a 7-1 win against Udinese in October 2019.

The Ivorian could follow Reiss Nelson in moving to Rotterdam, after the Arsenal academy product joined the Dutch side on loan this summer, as they looked to raid the Premier League for young attacking talent.

Nelson has found it difficult to break into the Arsenal first-team since turning pro, and spent a successful season on loan in Germany with Hoffenheim during the 2018/19 season, scoring seven Bundesliga goals.

However, he is yet to make a league appearance for Feyenoord so far this season, which could be concerning for Diallo, who needs first-team football guaranteed.

Diallo's chance of breaking into the United side are extremely slim after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed both Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer to bolster his attacking options.

With stars such as Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial already at the club, Diallo faces a tough battle to get the game time he needs.

The Dutch league could be an excellent place for Diallo to thrive, after already proving he has the potential, and United could have a star on their hands.

It's likely Feyenoord will come back in for the Ivorian, and with a deal already agreed in the summer, it won't be difficult to strike another deal in the January transfer window.
