One of the best things about Christmas are the new flavours of lattes that you can buy in cafes and coffee shops.
They are the perfect treat to help you get into the festive mood.
But as we will be staying at home during the next two weeks in Northern Ireland due to lockdown, why not try making them at home?
Here's two festive latte recipes for you to try.
Gingerbread latte
This recipe from Tesco looks super easy to make and is 122 calories per serving. The following ingredients serves four.

Ingredients
- 65g light brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 4 black peppercorns
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 500ml milk
- 200ml freshly made espresso coffee
Method
1. Put the sugar in a saucepan with 100ml water. Heat gently, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Bring to the boil and stir in the ginger, peppercorns, cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. Turn off the heat and allow to cool completely. Strain through a sieve and stir in the vanilla extract.
3. When ready to serve, heat the milk and syrup together in a pan until steaming hot, but not boiling, whisking constantly.
4. Divide the espresso coffee between 4 mugs or cups and top up with the frothy milk.
Cinnamon latte
Cooking Perfected has shared a perfect recipe to make a quick and easy cinnamon latte. The following ingredients serve four.
Ingredients
- 400ml black coffee
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 litre milk
Method
1. Add the cinnamon, sugar and milk to a pot on a medium heat.
2. Stir the milk until it just starts to boil, then remove from the heat.
3. Split the brewed black coffee among four mugs.
4. Top each of the mugs with the cinnamon milk mixture and enjoy.
