Ferry Road has been closed by police due to an ongoing incident

Ferry Road has been closed by police due to an ongoing incident.

Police confirmed that the route was off-limits as they are dealing with "a dynamic situation". They were unable to provide any further details at this time.

There is currently a heavy police presence in the area with a number of police cars, along with a police cordon, in place.

Lothian Buses tweeted to say that buses are not serving Ferry Road and "are instead diverted via North Junction, Lindsay Road and Craighall Road in both directions till further notice".

Services 7, 14 and 21 are affected.

We'll bring you any further updates on this incident as we get them.
