Ferrari owner crashes £250k supercar on day he bought it after driving just TWO miles

A gutted Ferrari owner crashed his brand new £250,000 supercar on the same day he bought it - after driving for just two miles.

The luxury motor, believed to be a Ferrari 488, was involved in the pricey smash earlier today.

Photos shared by police show the front bonnet crumpled with scratches all across the front of the flashy red sports car.

The driver, who was uninjured, was left counting the cost after his pride and joy was involved in the collision shortly after he purchased the car in Derby.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit wrote on Twitter : "Derby. 1st April. Driver bought a Ferrari this morning and crashed it after driving it less than 2 miles. No injuries. £DriveToArrive"

Web users reacted on social media with one person writing "OH NO!! Wounded" while another put: "You would be absolutely gutted."

Another commented: "I take it due to the fact the car facing the wrong way. He's given it a bit too much gas?"

One person put: "FFS what on earth was he doing? Is he even licenced to drive?"

Another added: "Bugger. How mortified would you be. That is going to take some fixing."

And another said: "Good to hear no injuries but maybe to much power for this driver and it looks like he's the April Fool for crashing"
