Ferrari announce grand plans to open brand new £8 million showroom in Leeds

Some of the finest Italian supercars from Ferrari will soon be on show in a brand new £8 million dealership in Leeds.

Car dealership group JCT600 is heading up the plans for the new multi-million pound site in south west Leeds, which have now been approved.

The new two-storey showroom will provide enough space to showcase 19 supercars inside and 15 more outside.

There will also be a 13-bay high tech workshop so that mechanics can work on the maintenance and restoration of older heritage vehicles.

A further £1 million will be spent on a vehicle preparation and repair centre, bringing the total cost of the ambitious scheme to £9 million.

A whole range of Ferraris will be available at the new showroom in Leeds (JCT600)

The plans mean that Ferrari's existing showroom on the A6110 Outer Ring Road will be vacated, with all existing cars and staff moving less than a mile to the new site at City West Business Park, The Boulevard.

The new showroom will also create a number of extra jobs in Leeds.

Work is expected to start in January, with the move set to be completed by next summer.

Tom Armstrong, brand director for JCT600’s specialist brands, said: "Having partnered with Ferrari for nearly 40 years, we are proud to be building one of the first showrooms in the UK to sport the iconic marque’s latest stylish corporate ID.

“The coveted prancing horse is known as much for elegance and design as for the outstanding performance and this new facility will complement the vehicles as well as providing the best possible environment for customers to enjoy the Ferrari purchase and ownership experience."

Leeds is slowly but surely becoming the epicentre for supercar showrooms in Leeds. McLaren and Lamborghini have both opened state-of-the-art bases near junction 45 of the M1.
