Ferran Torres has offered a fitness update ahead of Spain's UEFA Nations League final clash against France.
The Spaniard steered Luis Enrique's side to victory over European Champions Italy after his brace ended Roberto Mancini's unbeaten run at the helm.
Two first-half goals from the Manchester City forward presented a tough obstacle for the Italians who went down to 10 men three minutes before the break after two yellow cards for Leonardo Bonucci.
On a hat-trick, he was forced to withdraw and was replaced by Villarreal's Yeremi Pino four minutes into the second half.
"My ankle is better, and as the coach said, I will try it tomorrow before the game and see if I can play”, the 21-year-old said via Marca.
“For me, it is important to score goals and that gives me the strength to continue growing and improving.
“Tomorrow is a final and for many, it is the first. It is exciting to try and lift my first title and we are going to go for it.”
Spain will be looking to end their run without an international trophy which dates back to Euro 2016 and put behind them a mediocre European Championship that saw them exit after a penalty shoot-out defeat in the last four.
Should the former Valencia man not make it through to the final, Enrique can call on his semi-final replacement Pino or West Hamm's Pablo Fornals.
Three are good omens for La Roja as they have won three of their last five against France, while Didier Deschamps side will be looking to pick up their first competitive win over Spain in 15 years.
