Brits are bracing for ferocious gusts of up to 50mph and torrential rain as the downpours are set to continue on Tuesday.
The sodden summer weather will rage on today after the Met Office issued a severe weather warning for wind.
Southern regions of England along with parts of the south east are affected by the warning zone which will see gusts of up to 50 mph and some damage to structures.
The warning is in place until midday today.
Forecasters said: "An area of low pressure is expected to track across the far south and southeast of the UK from the southwest this morning".

In the south and east of this low, there will be "unseasonably strong winds, particularly around some coasts and hills.
"Here gusts may reach 40-50mph which may lead to damage to temporary structures and transport disruption.
"The strong winds will be accompanied by some heavy showers or rain for a time, before gradually moving north-eastwards and easing from the southwest through the daytime today."

There is also set to be more showers across the country throughout today, following sporadic downpours on Monday.
The heaviest rain will be across the northeast of England as well as parts of Scotland, while other regions will see some sunny spells.
Wednesday will continue with the unsettled weather and forecasters predict a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, along with a risk of thunder in eastern regions.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid to high teens for most places across the UK on Tuesday, with the highest peaks reaching near 20 C in the south.
It comes after heavy rain lashed the nation on Monday with temperatures staying far cooler than felt in recent weeks.
