Ferne McCann tearfully says she suffered tragic miscarriage before second pregnancy

Ferne McCann has revealed she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage before she became pregnant with her second child.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Ferne shared the sad news during a therapy session, which was shown on her reality show Ferne McCann : First Time Mum tonight.

The reality star, who is currently pregnant with her second child, said she suffered the tragic miscarriage five weeks into her pregnancy.

Ferne is mum to daughter Sunday, whom she has raised as a single mother, and her fiancé Lorri is a dad to son Noah.

The couple announced last month the pair are expecting their first child together and are expanding their blended family.

However, tonight, she revealed for the first time that before her pregnancy, Ferne went through a heartbreaking ordeal.

She is seen telling the camera: "We found out that I was pregnant, we were so excited and it just felt like the right time to expand out family."

Ferne was then seen telling her therapist during a joint session with Lorri: "And then very early on, I, I ummm, we had, we had a miscarriage as well."

The camera cut to a clip of Ferne telling viewers: "When I was five weeks and I started bleeding and I was desperately scouring the internet, because I didn't want to admit what I knew deep down was actually happening and that was my body rejecting and letting go of this baby."

An emotional Ferne added: "I was really, really upset. I think Lorri found it really hard to comprehend."

Later on in the episode, Ferne confirmed she had fallen pregnant again, and the couple spoke about having another baby, following the miscarriage.

This month, Ferne announced her pregnancy, and she later told how it feels "really special" to share her pregnancy with Lorri after having to welcome her first child alone.

Ferne was pregnant when she split from Arthur Collins after he was arrested for throwing acid into a crowd in an East London nightclub in 2017. She raised Sunday alone until meeting and falling in love with Lorri last year.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Ferne discussed her pregnancy and spoke about how special it was to share her pregnancy with Lorri.

She said: "I feel really good. I feel really, really good.

"I'm gonna be honest, and I feel really lucky saying this, but I don't even feel pregnant right now – apart from obviously there's a growing bump and there's a few flutters and movements but no, I don't. I feel like really like full of energy.

"Obviously the first trimester I was so, so tired and I was feeling a little bit sick – nothing to really write home about but I felt like I was in hibernating mode because it was all over Christmas and January."

She added: "I'm just really pleased that it's out there now and we can celebrate it because I feel like I've just been covering up for such a long time. It's really exciting.

"And, obviously, the difference this time round is that I'm doing it with someone and that feels really special.

"Just go into the scans with Lorri and we've both got children already, so that's a whole new dynamic, it's just been really fun so far."
