Ferne McCann slammed as she jets to South Africa for holiday despite Tier 4 rules

Ferne McCann has been slammed after she jetted to South Africa for a holiday, despite living in a Tier 4 area.

The former TOWIE star, 30, took to her Instagram account over the weekend to document the start of her trip, showing off the beautiful scenery where she's staying and all the delicious food she's been eating.

She lives in Essex, which is currently under Tier 4 rules that ban travel abroad, unless for a legally permitted reason, which includes travel for work.

But Ferne didn't explain why she had travelled internationally on her Instagram as she kept her followers updated on her trip.

On Sunday she posted a picture of herself posing in a black bikini with views of rolling hills behind her.

In her post she promoted her fitness programme.

Her followers questioned why she was abroad, with one writing: "She broke tier 4 rules to go to South Africa... but she'll no doubt claim it's a business trip."

"Essential travel???" another asked.

A third said: "These people really don't care. Clearly this pandemic only applies to the poor."

The Mirror has contacted Ferne's rep for comment.

Later on her stories she filmed herself soaking up the sun with a male friend.

She filmed the mountains, which she called "absolutely stunning".

Ferne enjoyed a plate of oysters and some sushi for lunch.

Then on Monday she filmed her daughter Sunday going for a walk through a park, looking at the local wildlife.
