Ferne McCann confirms split from Albie Gibbs due to lockdown

Ferne McCann has confirmed the sad news she has split from her boyfriend, Albie Gibbs.

The mum-of-one, 29, revealed on her TV show, Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, that she was no longer with her boyfriend.

She first got together with city trader Albie late last year, when she revealed she had a "mystery man".

She put the split down to her living in the UK while he lived in New York for a year, and social distancing guidelines meaning they could not see one another.

On tonight's episode of the show, former TOWIE star Ferne said Albie was "the right guy at the wrong time".

She added that their conversations were "dead" because the lockdown meant they had nothing to talk about.

"How can I see a future with someone when I can't physically be with them for the foreseeable future?" she explained.

"I was naive to think the long-distance thing would be ok.

"We have broken up and it is proper s**t."

But while Ferne said he was still a good match for her and it was just bad timing, she hinted that she was looking for love again.

"I think yet again, Ferne McCann is officially back on the market," she teased.

She had previously called Albie "the one" and even had a pregnancy scare after she visited him in New York, but she was relieved when the test came back negative.

He did star on her show last month, however he had his face blurred out.

Ferne explained: "He doesn't want to be in the limelight, he doesn't like taking pictures.

"It's causing rows, it caused our first domestic, he stormed off."

But, she added: "I like the fact he wants to remain a mystery, I find him very attractive, very sexy."

Ferne is mother to two-year-old Sunday, whose father is her ex Arthur Collins, who was jailed for 20 years after carrying out an acid attack in an East London nightclub.
