It's claimed Celtic have begun talks with Gremio over a January deal for rising star Fernando Henrique.
The Hoops underwent an extensive rebuild in the summer under new boss Ange Postecoglou, but revolutionising the squad will take more than one window.
While the likes of Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi have hit the ground running, there are still gaps in the squad that will need to be addressed.
Postecoglou has confirmed that plans are already afoot for the winter window, and a report from Brazil has identified one possible target.
According to Globo, a representative from Celtic got in touch with Gremio to discuss a possible move for Fernando Henrique.
The 20-year-old is a Brazilian youth international and operates in a defensive midfield role.
He could be available for around £3.6m, with Globo reporting that Arab side Al Ain made an approach in the summer and were quoted a fee in that region.
However, it's believed that Gremio own only 60 per cent of his registration so there may be third parties who would also have to be negotiated with.
Henrique has not featured in recent weeks, having last played in a defeat to Flamengo at the Maracana on September 15.
