Fern Britton unrecognisable as she's given Mama Mia makeover for All Star Musicals

All Star Musicals at Christmas is nearly upon us.

The ITV show will see presenter Fern Britton, actor Ben Miller, former-MP and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth, presenter Anita Rani, actress Catherine Tyldesley, and sports presenter Radzi Chinyanganya, take centre-stage for a special night of festive entertainment.

And ITV bosses have released a sneak-peak ahead of the long-awaited special.

Over the past couple of months, the celebrities have been working hard behind-the-scenes as they gear up to get into character.

The ITV special will see them all embark on the ultimate musical theatre masterclass, each hoping to steal the show with their spectacular performance and be voted All Star Musicals Champion.

Equipped with world-class mentoring from the returning panel, musical theatre powerhouses Elaine Paige OBE, Samantha Barks and Trevor Dion Nicholas, the celebrities will be supported by a full West End ensemble and a live orchestra.

And, in the lead up to their big performance, they have also received training from esteemed West End choreographers and vocal coaches.

The musical numbers performed will be from a range of iconic musicals, both contemporary and traditional, including Cats, Moana and The Rocky Horror Show.

In new teaser pictures ahead of the Boxing Day show, the 55-year-old looks terrifying in costume as he rocks wax-makeup and a long white wig.

Elsewhere, TV presenter Fern Britton looks sensational on stage while playing her part in Mamma Mia.

The 64-year-old star will rock a showstopping ensemble full of sparkle and sequins as she gears up to belt out the famous tunes from the hit musical.

The 38-year-old actress has been getting into character by wearing a full fur costume - whiskers and all.

The broadcaster looks the part in the picture previews of the Boxing Day show as he's seen performing in a three-piece suit.

The sports presenter will strip down to a Hawaiian skirt made of leaves for the extra special number.

The TV presenter, 44, looks sensational with a black wig and a glamorous makeover.

The night of musicals magic will feature a special performance from one of the West End's biggest shows, plus an exclusive performance by Samantha Barks, who plays Elsa in the West End, of Into The Unknown from Frozen 2.

Returning to host the show is John Barrowman, who will team up with Elaine, Samantha and Trevor, opening the show with a spectacular Greatest Showman medley.

All Star Musicals airs Boxing Day at 8pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
