There were certainly some good old times had at The Vintage bar in Enniskillen.
There are many with fond (albeit hazy) memories of the nights’ craic that was had in one of the town’s great hospitality venues.
Well known for its live music and jukebox, as well as its burgers that were named after cars, The Vintage hosted a variety of names and faces in the Co Fermanagh town.
The camaraderie among staff and customers alike was a common theme in The Vintage, with former barman Gary McBride saying it was the best days of his life working there.
Gary told MyFermanagh: “I left school at 16 or 17 and I only wanted to be a barman.
“The owner at the time Joey Kelly actually sent me to catering college and the place was only after a refurbishment.

“All the staff I worked with there were absolutely brilliant, they were the best staff I ever worked with in my life.
“The fun and craic we used to have was unforgettable.”
Another employee and customer of The Vintage, Geraldine Ledwith, actually met her husband of 35 years in the venue and also has very fine memories of it.
“I used to work there in the summer and over the weekends while I was studying,” Geraldine said.
“I think it would have been around 1982. I worked in the bar and the kitchen – The Vintage was booming at that time.
“It was a great place for food and drink and everything else, it was just fantastic.
“I met my husband Oliver there as his brother was running the place at the time and we got to chatting for the first time.

“I met him at a dinner-dance then after that and then that was that, now we are married 25 years later.”
David Kelly, whose mother and father Caroline and Joey Kelly owned The Vintage – before it was later sold to JD Wetherspoon and then Auntie Annie’s – said he used to help his parents with work behind the scenes.
He added: “My aunt did the invoices and I entered them into the computer for the company and we did that for nearly 20 years.
“Then my parents retired and bought an Island on Lough Erne. I had plenty of good memories of The Vintage."
Former punters also shared their memories of The Vintage on Facebook.
I'll never forget the Vintage Jam sessions, playing alongside some of the best local talent, particularly at Bank Holiday weekends,” said Paul Jackman.
“Amazing music, and it was a place where everybody could play what they wanted.”
“What memories, a great place. I worked in it for 20 years and met amazing people and worked with fantastic people whom are still my friends,” said Anne Maguire.
