A Co Fermanagh woman and four friends have raised more than £2,000 for charity by walking 64 kilometres in one day in memory of her late grandfather.
Tamara Guy, from Ballinamallard, and other members of the Soul Girls Adventure walking group completed the gruelling trek from Killybegs in Co Donegal to Ederney in memory of her grandad George Guy.
George passed away from a rare condition known as IPF, a type of pulmonary fibrosis, and Tamara and friends raised the money for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Tamara told MyFermanagh that the route started and finished in two places which were close to her grandfather’s heart.
She said: “His hometown was Lack but he always would have gone in to Ederney for a pint of Guinness with his friends and my grandmother on a Saturday night.
“And then Killybegs, we used to go every Sunday for a drive and we would go fishing and things like that so it’s somewhere that holds a lot of memories for us with him.
“We thought Killybegs to Ederney sounded a bit menta, but it wasn’t impossible. It was tight going but we made it in the end.”
It was a long day with a 5am start, especially with the hot weather during the walk on Saturday.
“We started at five in the morning and didn’t get in to Ederney until 9pm.
“Sixteen hours in that heat, it was definitely tough.
“A lot of it was more mental than physical. Your body automatically just keeps going but it was your mind that was just trying to focus on the next bend.”
