Ferguson Police Officer Fires Fatal Shot At Gas Station

Authorities in Ferguson, Missouri, have reported a fatal shooting incident that occurred at a gas station in the St. Louis suburb. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning at a convenience store, where a 26-year-old man, Detarius Haynes, and an 18-year-old, Joshua Campbell, were involved.

According to the St. Louis County police, Haynes and Campbell arrived at the gas station in a vehicle and stopped at a gas pump. It was then revealed that Campbell shot Haynes, leading to his tragic death near the gas pump. The exact circumstances that led to this shooting remain unclear at this time.

Following the initial shooting, a Ferguson police officer exiting the store intervened by firing at Campbell. Subsequently, Campbell fled the scene and collapsed on West Florissant Road, where he also succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the St. Louis County police.

The 37-year-old police officer involved in the incident emerged unharmed from the confrontation. The authorities are currently investigating the sequence of events and the factors that contributed to this tragic outcome.
